Silk and Territory Museum

Nearly 600 metres from the hotel, this museum is where you can understand the unique process of extracting silk in a 100% handmade manner. Opening hours - Monday to Sunday, including holidays, from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm and from 2:00 pm to 5:30 pm.

Freixo de Espada à Cinta Castle

Nearly 650 metres from our hotel, the castle of Freixo de Espada à Cinta is one of the oldest Transmontana fortresses. Registered in the 12th century, this architectural marvel was created by D. Afonso III, the first king of Portugal, and his elder son – D. Dinis.

Congida Beach

Situated on the banks of the Douro river, and nearly 4.5 km from the hotel, Congida Beach enjoys the serene waters supplied by the Saucelle dam reservoir. There is also a picnic area, a children’s playground, a river pool, and a bar with a riverside terrace.

Casa Museo Guerra Junqueiro

This 17th Century House museum is located just 500 mt from the hotel, where you can find how was the life of the popular poet Guerra Junqueiro. There’s a huge characteristic collection of its time such as pieces of furniture, Portuguese silver and goldsmith.
